This past weekend was the Annual World T-ball Championship based in Ancaster, Ontario.

The Dundas team entered the tournament as the reigning AA division champions from 2018, but were quickly moved up 2 full divisions for this year into the Major division. After going 3-0 in the Round Robin, the playoffs brought new opponents in Orangeville, Ancaster A, and an old foe in Oakville.

Ultimately the team made it to the Major Division finals for what is believed to be the first time ever for the Dundas organization! The Ancaster team was a bit too much on this day, and after 7 games in 4 days, we lost to Ancaster in the finals, placing 2nd out of 25 teams from across the province.

Some highlights that need to be noted are the amazing efforts by some of the players: Brayden Westoby for coming back from a gruesome injury on Sunday night, to play in both the semi final and final on Monday; Multiple homeruns from players such as Grayson Karschti, James Kostandoff and Henry Hawkins; Amazing defensive plays by the likes of Nolan Lounsbury and Rory Scott; the perseverance of injured players like Liam Meyer and amazing sportsmanship exhibited by Myles Gilbert; and kids playing some of their best ball of the year in Mason Peters, Ryleigh Brown, Henderson Richard and Karson Emery.

The biggest highlight though was the incredible fan base that came out for 4 days in the hot sun to cheer on the team. We even had parents and players not involved on the team come out and cheer us on which really made the players feel great. Thank you to all for your support!

Dundas Little League were asked to help co-host the event due to the Canadian National championships on-going in Ancaster as well. Martino Park was the site for over 20 of the tournaments games. A huge shout out to all the volunteers who helped in the preparation and execution of the event, as we were praised by visitors from all over Ontario for our hospitality.

Coaches Ron, Ryan and Darren want to send all the players, parents, fans, and volunteers a heart felt THANK YOU for everything you put into making this the most successful Ancaster World T-ball Tournament for the Dundas Little League in history!
